#001 SHOULD WE REGULATE OUR FOOD?

FOOD CHOICE is important for a healthy life. It is not just nutritious balanced diet, which the Western modern health routines projects as key to health.

A diet in spite of being a storehouse of all the components like carbohydrates, proteins, fats, mineral salts and vitamins and being cooked in hygienic environment can yet cause ill health. On the other hand semi-starving and half-naked fakirs can live a long healthy life. Secret?

Food controls our behavior (SLEEP AND SEXUAL LIFE) and consequently health even without our cognizance. I plan about 100 posts, which may take about 150 days.

Every day I shall be writing about one or two foods. Their effects are discussed mostly from personal experiences and from ancient books.

FROM 30 YEARS PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

BRINJAL: Unnecessarily increases sexual desires. Though the desire increases, the erections or the staying powers do not increase.

ONIONS exacerbate the problem.

For a long time, I thought that my personal experience was an isolated peculiar problem.

Recently, I saw on a TV channel on Jaimini Bharata stories. There also, the commentator classified 'brinjal' as an avoidable thing for a person who wants to master his sensual organs.

Thereafter, I again experimented with brinjal taking it on some days and avoiding on other days.

However, there may be TWO limitations here. 1) The breed of brinjal may decide its impact on the bod of the organism which consumes it. 2) The soil on which the brinjal is grown, may decide its micro-elements and decide its medical qualities.
